For power plants and industry use the requirements on power supplies are high transient strength, long time overvoltage protection, constant hold-up time based on very wide input ranges, high isolation voltage and highest operational reliability.

So the universal power supply units must operate on batteries from 24 V or 48 V up to 110 V or 220 V as well as on 110 V / 230 V / 440 V with 16 2/3 Hz to 60 Hz AC power systems. This is realized with the input voltage range of 36-264 V AC and 18-264 V AC as well as 82-530V AC and 76-750V DC in one range.
Disturbances as short time transients (surge), long time transients and interuptions of the network up to >300 ms are controled with the SYKO-developed switching topologies and active transient kill with a included inrush current limiting (patent).

In accordance to the used switching topologies it is possible to deal with air and creepage distances up to 80mm. Therefor coil forms and transformers are available as proprietary development.
